Daniel Dillard is eleven years old. He has a highly rare form of epilepsy called Dravet’s Syndrome. There is not a cure for Dravet’s, so Daniel will need a lifetime of care and will always have seizures - many of which require the immediate administration of medication. Daniel also has severe developmental delays and shows some autistic traits. He tends to wander away and is unaware of environmental dangers such as traffic, bodies of water, and ill intentions of strangers. 4 Paws For Ability is a nonprofit organization that specializes in training service dogs for children with disabilities. They have accepted Daniel into the program and are training a seizure alert dog for him. See all the dogs that are in training right now. He will be getting his new dog on September 14, 2010.
